Love…

Love
is what we all want.

We miss a moment, a person, or a memory because our hearts tells us more than our minds can, and loving others deeply tells us how far we can love. But if love is the answer, then why is love so complicated? Because love is defined, misused, and often an exchange in itself.

Being loved is the greatest gift that mankind can receive, and knowing how to love is also a struggle. Being human, we are selfish creatures, desiring only what we want. But sometimes learning to let go is the better choice. For nothing belongs to us, and we are nothing but dust, and to dust we return.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

– 1 Corinthians 13:4, 6-7

And if we can only love, it is because we are first loved, by the awesome love of God. But we are, broken and wounded beings, and with the little love that we have, we can still love, with the purity of God’s love.

Love, what is your answer today?
