Faith

A church is where sinners and saints gather.
A place where all are welcomed.
Take away all our prejudices, fears of the unknown,
judgement and expectations of what a church should be.

We are only human, and we have weaknesses.
We fall and we get back up again.
However that is not to say that we are fallen creatures
therefore we believe that our lord will save us as we continue in ways of our own.

Jesus answered him,

“I am the way, the truth and life; no one goes to the Father except by me.”
– John 14:6

So do not be afraid of coming close to the Lord, he sees your heart and He calls you by your name.

Learning to trust in faith

Our Blessed Virgin Mary is the perfect example.

When we trust and believe in what we do not see, we know that’s faith. Walk by faith and not by sight. Loving the Lord comes with many challenges, uphills and downhills, we only need to fully surrender ourselves to our Lord Jesus.

Easier said than done when we are in situations are such, it is often unclear to see the light in the darkness. In times like this, we trust- In faith, hope and love.

We place ourselves into the arms of Mother Mary, one who silently bears her fears, pain and sufferings within.

Hearts of Jesus and Mary

“He will be a sign from God which many people will speak against and so reveal their secret thoughts. And sorrow, like a sharp sword, will break your own heart.”
– Luke 2:35

So in times of temptations and human weaknesses, praying the rosary helps me.

  • By meditating on the Rosary

(I use the Laudate App) You can hear podcast of the rosary on the go and even pray the mysteries of the day, all written beautifully.

Such a beautiful gift of faith for us Catholics- If only we have courage and steadfastness to cling on to the hope in Christ Jesus. All is not lost.

“My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak.”
“I am most happy, then, to be proud of my weaknesses, in order to feel the protection of Christ’s power over me.”
– 2 Cor 12:9
